Building Work Starts At Brewery
Posted in General News , General News on by AdminWhat a day it has been today.... Saturday 28 th April.
Recently the unit next to us has come vacant, and the landlord has offered it to us to expand in to. At this moment in time we probably don't need the space... but when we do it may not be there so we have decided to go for it and take it on. The space currently has no running water, no electric supply but is the ground floor of the old tower brewery where 3 steam boilers were sited to power the old brew plant.
The space has not been very 'loved' over the last few years and desperately needs some TLC!
What the Lymestone Brewery lacks is additional cold storage space, a more permanent visitor centre, and more toilet facilities. So with this in mind Brad and Viv have planned the space to meet these requirements.
Today they set off for the brewery to start some of the expansion work. So excited were they that both the staff turned up to help as well as a close family friend!
A wall was soon demolished, paint applied, and the second hand bulk tank moved into position..... all in one day!! We have put some pictures onto the gallery and those of you who have been to see us will be able to see where we have been making changes. Over the next 3 months further building and renovation work will take place and will culminate in a summer beer festival/launch. Keep watching for more pictures and info about our events :)
