Here at Lymestone Brewery we see pre-booked group tours as an essential part of our businesses development. After an informal greeting and safety briefing the tour will begin with a glass of real ale, our visitors perhaps taking the time to appreciate the size and scale of the former Bent’s Brewery buildings as they enter the production area. Great emphasis is given to the quality of ingredients used at the Lymestone Brewery and visitors are encouraged to handle both Malt and Hops. After a brief break to refresh glasses, the tour will resume with a detailed explanation of the brewing process and how it is applied at the Lymestone Brewery. Following this, a more general discussion on brewery issues concludes the evening.

Important Notes

The tour will start at a pre determined time agreed by the tour organiser and the Brewer.

Whilst there is no minimum number for a tour group, the cost for groups numbering less than 10 will remain at £70.00

All groups who visit the Lymestone Brewery will receive a free certificate (signed by the Brewer) to commemorate the occasion.

For all groups who number 20 or more, a Lymestone Brewery polo shirt will be awarded to the tour organiser.

The full tour will cost £7.00 per person collected by the tour organiser and paid before the tour commences. The tour will take a minimum of 60 minutes and will include several glasses of ale. A beef and ale stew can be pre-ordered making the tour cost £10.00 per person. In keeping with the ethos of Lymestone Brewery, all ingredients are locally sourced and are of the highest quality. The organic beef for instance, is reared on our brewers grains.

We have a small amount of Lymestone Brewery merchandise for sale, Polo shirts, woolly hats and cases of beer can be purchased on the night at the end of the tour.

Visitors should be aware they are entering a working environment. Warm clothing is required most months of the year and sensible footwear is essential at all times.
